Top 10 for September 2004

The votes for The Phantom Tollbooth September Top 10 are submitted and tabulated, and there's shuffling, new entries and a surprise. Slipping out of the Top 10 are Blindside, Pedro the Lion, Further Seems Forever, The 77s, Bill Mallonee, Joy Electric and Neal Morse. New to this month's survey includes the latest recordings from U2 (Vertigo), Snow Patrol (Final Straw), Delirious? (World Service) and Mutual Admiration Society. Returning to the survey are A->B Life from Mewithoutyou and (the surprise!) a classic from LSU, Lifesavers Underground's Shaded Pain_ Perhaps the biggest news is that Starflyer 59 continues its dominance in the Top 10 survey, repeating its number one slot appearance from last month's results. Remember to vote in the October 2004 Phantom Tollbooth Top 10 survey, and here are the results from September 2004.

1. Starflyer 59 - I Am the Portuguese Blues
2. U2 - Vertigo
3. Cool Hand Luke - The Fires of Life
4. Snow Patrol - Final Straw
5. Wilco - A Ghost is Born
6. Delirious? - World Service
7. Mewithoutyou - A->B Life
8. The Violet Burning - This is the Moment
