Retroactive Records continues to set the bar for high quality re-issues. This classic album by Saint has never sounded better.
Title: Time's End (re-issue)
Artist: Saint
Label: Retroactive Records
Time: 9 tracks/37:20 min.
If you are into Christian metal, then you know who Saint is. You have probably already heard most, if not all, of their first three albums. If you never got them on CD, then this is your chance to change that. If you do have one of the CD editions, then you are probably not that happy with the mastering quality on them. So no matter who you are, Retroactive Records has the fix for you. This re-issue of Time’s End sounds great – the mastering by J. Powell is as close to perfect as the source recordings will let it get. The packaging is a digipack – a format that seems to be unpopular with some fans currently. But the artwork still looks pristine. The only real bonus with this version is a short history of the recording by Richard Lynch. Informative, but a little short. People sometimes complain about the lack of extras on re-issues, and I get that… but don’t forget that there is an entire album of seriously legendary metal sounding better than it ever has.
