National Geographic Channel 2016 TV Series "Mars"
Summary of Episodes 3-6

No more screeners for reviewing, so this will be a summary of upcoming “Mars” episodes that no doubt, will have cliffhangers, as with Episodes One and Two. I reference the old Saturday afternoon movie serials that had you eagerly waiting for the next week and some kind of resolution. "Mars" has been an experience for audience, with the story pided into the "Mars" segment and the Headquarters on Earth. This word "cliffhanger" has taken on new meaning. Here's hoping National Geographic will continue the "Mars" story.

Future Episodes on The National Geographic Channel will be the following:

Episode 3 (November 28, 2016)
“Pressure Drop”
The crew is now looking for a permanent home (or as permanent as can be on this planet) as they have gone through Plan B and are almost up to Plan M by now. In the meantime, Russia offers help.

Episode 4, (December 5, 2016)
“Power”
Fast forward to 2037 and the crew is still on Mars with a name, Olympus Town. A new group manages to make it to Mars and joins them, but something looms on the horizon. On Earth, Antarctica is being used as a training base for life on Mars.

Episode 5, (December 12, 2016)
“Darkest Days”
Would you believe, that cloud on the horizon is still enveloping the base. Talk about claustrophobia and the effects on the crew.  On Earth, more study is done on the effects of confinement on people.

Episode 6 (December 19, 2016)
“Crossroads”
Major problems arise on Mars and the question is spoken, “Is it worth it?” On Earth, more experimentation is going on with travel rockets.  Decisions, decisions, decisions.

**********************************

*National Geographic Channel TV Series “Mars” is part fiction of the first human crew to cross the void between Earth and Mars and try to live on the red planet. One part of each episode concerns the crew and their adventures, while the other part is back on Earth with reactions to what happens to the crew.  We also have comments from Elon Musk, who is the originator of the SpaceX that tries to retrieve the rocket that is expelled from the take-off of a rocket.  This is to limit cost. There are six episodes in this series. The first episode, “Novo Mundo,“ has the take-off of the rocket ship “Daedalus” and elation on Earth at this success. The first 50-minute episode aired on Monday, November 14, 2016 on the National Geographic Channel and continues through Monday, December 19, 2016.  Director is Everardo Gout. Composers are Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. Cinematographer is Damian Garcia. The cast for the fiction section includes Oliver Martinez, Alberto Ammann, Ben Cotton, Kata Sarbo and Nicholas Wittman.
