The Chase. For fans of White Collar or Burn Notice
The Chase
Authors: Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg
Publisher: Bantam (February 25, 2014)

Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg, return with this second adventure featuring master con artist Nicolas Fox and FBI agent Kate O’Hare.  Nick is an internationally renowned thief and con artist famous for running elaborate and daring scams. In the last book, "The Heist,"  he convinced the FBI to team him up with the only person who has ever caught him, Special Agent Kate O’Hare. Together they are to go undercover to swindle and catch those most wanted—and untouchable criminals that the FBI can't touch.

Their newest target is Carter Grove, a former White House chief of staff and the ruthless leader of a private security agency. Grove has stolen a rare Chinese artifact from the Smithsonian, a crime that will ruin U.S. relations with China if it ever becomes public. Nick and Kate must work quickly tosteal the piece back. Confronting Grove, involves the same crew, including a flamboyant actor, a Geek Squad techie, a wheel woman, a and a band of AARP-card-carrying mercenaries led by none other than Kate’s dad.

This daring heist and a deadly chase will lead Nick and Kate from Washington, D.C., to Shanghai, from the highlands of Scotland to the Montreal. The book was a fun entertaining read. If you haven't read the first book, it will remind you of White Collar or Burn Notice and would make a fun TV series especially with the sexual tension between Nick and Kate. If you  are expecting Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum humor, you won't find it here, but it's a very light-hearted quick read. The book kept me interested and waiting to read the next in the series.
