A Who’s Who of Christian music’s bright lights get together and head out to the country on Glory Revealed II: The Word of God in Worship.  The first release of Glory Revealed was released back in 2007 to critical acclaim (winning two dove awards).  And those who loved the first release will find much to love on this one…the organizers of Glory Revealed II: The Word of God in Worship stick to the same winning formula present on the first one: artists like Mac Powell, Brandon Heath, Aaron Shust, Natalie Grant, Geoff Moore, and Shane & Shane joining in to sing in a smooth Nashvillestyle Country Gospel.  The other pleasing facet present in Glory Revealed II: The Word of God in Worship is the inclusion of Scripture as the lyrics of the songs (the Bible verses are taken from several translations).  While not an altogether new concept, the execution here is well done and not forced as one might suspect.  The smooth musical style, production (by Third Day’s Mac Powell), and inclusion of Scripture make this an altogether satisfying experience, even for folks that are not huge country fans.  My only suggestion for sure-to-come future releases would be to include some Christian country luminaries (i.e. Alan Jackson, Randy Travis).  Oh, and I missed David Crowder on this release (he put in a fine turn on the first Glory Revealed project).
