Former Trans Future Vol. 1 EP
Artist: The Wannabe Hasbeens
Label: C*Motion Music
6 tracks / 26:15

Minneapolis-based quartet The Wannabe Hasbeens lays down tasty alternative
rock tracks (ala Yellowcard, Switchfoot and Fall Out Boy) sweetened with
sugary sprinkles of late ‘80’s hair metal guitar and melodic doubled vocals
to create a pogo-jumping, first-pumping, party-vibe debut EP.

>From the razor-sharp guitar opener “Call Your Bluff” to the made-for-TV
anthem, “Hey, George Bailey,” The Wannabe Hasbeens show an aptitude for what
they refer to as “dumb rock for smart people.” Leadman Christopher M. Heille
displays a Dave Pirner-style penchant for cleverly catchy choruses while
bandmates Gary Spencer (drums), Derek Ritchison (bass), “Mo” (guitars) and
Dan Monaghan (guitars) pepper their specialties in the mix to transform
fairly straightforward tunes into fully-melded retro/right-now rockers.
