Come Undone
Artist: Jackson Waters
Label: Word Records
Length: 11 Tracks/43.01 Minutes

Jackson Waters' Come Undone is like a nice Sunday drive on a familiar scenic road pleasant and pretty familiar.  The CD features catchy, guitar driven pop-rock and memorable vocals by David Leonard coupled with lyrics that are a wee little bit bland.  Overall, Come Undone is a decent freshmen effort, well-produced and sonically spotless.  Cut two is a tasty up-tempo, radio friendly rocker called "Give Me Amazing Grace."  The standout track is the mini-epic "Jamie's Song," featuring a killer bridge and powerful vocal turn.

I can't help but think these guys may have a bright future with some even better music in store for us.  Maybe they'll rock out a little more and drop a few of the color-by-the-numbers ballad.  As it stands,Come Undone is a decent ride.  Give it a spin!

Barry Nothstine hosts Soul Frequency Radio (http://www.soulfrequency.com), a weekly freeform FM radio show showcasing progressive rock, instrumental rock, power-pop, psychedelic rock, rock classics, blues, and more—great rock for the ages!
