In this the first installment of the "Dominion Trilogy", author Robin Parrish introduces us to Collin Boyd aka Grant Borrows and a life turned completely upside down. As Collin tries to unravel what has happened to him he must contend with not only the changes in his own life but try to figure out why all of a sudden he is the target of not just one but two professional hit men. Who are these guys and why do they want him dead? What has happened to him and just what is the significance of this gold ring that is stuck on his finger? Who is this girl, Alex, that keeps popping into his life giving him cryptic and not very helpful hints into the mystery that he finds himself involved in. Who are "The Bringer," "The Keeper" and "The Thresher" and what do they have to do with him anyway? All Collin wants to do is get back his dull uninteresting life. "Relentless" is one of those books that I found I had a hard time putting down. It also made me a little nuts knowing that it would be a year between book two & book three. If though the next two books are as good as the first one and I suspect they will be then they will definitely be worth the wait. Chris MacIntosh aka Grandfather Rock
