January 2006 Top Ten

Your votes for the January 2006 Top 10 are finally tabulated and reported, with mixed results--the good news is that there are no ties! However, there are just enough votes to compile solid and intriguing results with no runners-up. The Phantom Tollbooth needs your diary of titles you're enjoying for the March 2006 Top 10 survey! Christmas 2005 entries from Vince Guaraldi and Bill Mallonee are absent from this month's survey, and Sufjan Stevens' Illinois (also known as Illinoise) leads the way with a commanding number of votes, followed by returnees from the December 2005 survey, King's X's Ogre Tones, and Delirious?'s The Mission Bell. Re-visiting the Top 10 are The 77s' 88, Buddy Miller's Universal United House of Prayer, Ollabelle, The Choir, The Call, and Rich Mullins' Songs. The sold new title is the David Crowder Band's A  Collision. The February 2006 survey results will be posted very soon, and in the meantime, remember to vote for your March 2006, as every vote counts! Here are the results of the January 2006 survey:

1. Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
2. King's X - Ogre Tones
3. Delirious? - The Mission Bell
4. The 77s - 88
5. Buddy Miller - Universal United House of Prayer
6. Ollabelle - Ollabelle
7. The Choir - O How the Mighty Have Fallen
8. The Call - The Best Of the Call
