  Grateful Nation
Artist: Your Black Star
Label: Iron Compass Records
Time: 9 tracks

Well, well, well, U2 musical lovers? Yes, that's the main influence on Grateful Nation, but no it isn't the only one. Along the hallways of U2, Springsteen, Train, and Travis, Your Black Star burns with a sharp consistency of melodic passion and a somber and moody straight-up rock touch. While Your Black Star do have a great sound, there are no lyrics in the booklet. I think a band this passionate needs to showcase their song writing! Unfortunately, for some, this may be a reason not to purchase a CD. However, if this omission doesn't put you off, then by all means pick up this release.
