If you have seen TobyMac in the past couple years, you have already been introduced to Shonlock, the multi-talented dancer/songwriter/MC/producer. On his solo debut, Shonlock uses his many talents to combine pop, rock, and hip-hop to create some very memorable tracks. Unlike many 'Christian hip-hip' albums, this one actually holds its ground against the production and artistry of its mainstream contemporaries. His influences include Mat Kearney, The Script, Outkast, and TobyMac – fans of these artists will find something here to like. Shonlock seems eager to break new ground; it will be interesting to see where his career will lead.
