Neverclaim, by the band of the same name out of Portland, Oregon at once rocks and later rolls with its first release. Sounding like a cross between Third Day and Needtobreathe, they both excite and mellow with a 10-song collection. Included are both CCM rockers and church anthems, all with praise and worship.

“Revival” is a hard hitting, tight praise and worship song with big bass and percussion to open the album. “One Truth One Life”, the leading single of the collection, has a southern rock touch. “Steal Their Hearts” highlights a slow slide guitar accented by clapping and an invigorating chorus.

“My Soul Longs” has a great build up with guitar feedback in background and a powerful lyric. “Burn,” continues this theme as a powerful ballad. With ballads and a poppy feel to a few tunes, the remaining songs have a powerful Christian message all making great congregational songs of praise and worship but with a much mellower, quiet sound.

Overall, Neverclaim has a powerful, refreshing energy pulling at our hearts to come closer to Christ.
